Government Cars Fleet goes greener

One of the Agency’s key aims is to reduce tailpipe emissions. While technology continues to advance the Agency has increased the number of Toyota Prius hybrid vehicles onto the fleet, and we are taking delivery of a small number of Honda Civic hybrids. Already this year we have reduced our average tailpipe CO2 emissions by 5% and since 2002/03 (the first year of operation of the target) we have reduced our CO2 emissions by over 18%. All GCDA cars and vans are hybrid petrol/electric, LPG or capable of running on a 5% biodiesel blend.
