The documents below constitute the Department's response to a Freedom of Information query requesting information on the so-called "null hypothesis" - a baseline measure of the number of DfT and Agency staff involved in support services. The work to establish the measure was carried out during the summer of 2004 and the data supplied here refers to that period.
