Mobility road show

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency’s (DVLA) Drivers Medical Group is pleased to be attending this year’s Mobility roadshow at Kemble Airfield, Cirencester, Gloucestershire in June 2009 (Stand B19). DVLA staff will be on hand and happy to answer questions on all aspects of medical standards and any issues relating to driver and vehicle licensing and registration.

DVLA’s Drivers Medical Group role is to promote road safety by establishing whether drivers with medical conditions satisfy the medical standards required for safe driving. DVLA employs fully qualified Medical Advisers to apply these standards and decide whether a person is fit to drive. The law governing the issue of driving licences is contained in the Road Traffic Act 1988 and the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations 1999.

If you hold a current driving licence and have a notifiable medical conditions, you may notify us by us by mail, email or fax to the addresses or number listed below. Alternatively, you may download and complete the appropriate questionnaire from www.direct.gov.uk, which can be sent to DVLA via mail, fax or as an attachment to an email. Please note that emailing the questionnaire is not a secure means of communication and DVLA cannot accept responsibility for intercepted mail.
