The medical information held on the Directgov website has recently been updated, the site now includes a handy A to Z facility which can be used to find out if you need to tell DVLA about a medical condition.

DVLA will always treat the information you send with the strictest confidence. However, as the security of the internet can't be guaranteed, DVLA will be unable to send emails which contain personal information and advise that you also follow this policy.

Please Note: For confidentiality reasons it is not possible to release driver numbers or personal details from your driving record via email replies.

If you contact us by telephone, you will be greeted by our interactive voice system. Staffed telephone enquiry hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 1.00 pm. Outside these times you will be able to listen to a variety of messages covering the most commonly asked questions on driver and vehicle licensing and vehicle registration.

The DVLA's Contact Centre will be closed on the following public holidays.
