Pilot Projects

health6Cycling England is working in partnership with the Government Office for the East Midlands on the Cycling and health innovative pilot projects (CHIPPs) programme. CHIPPs aims to demonstrate how Primary Care Trusts can promote cycling effectively, through targeted partnership working, in conjunction with the government office for the region

Nottingham PCT and Northamptonshire PCT are working on specific targeted initiatives aimed at deprived communities within their PCT areas. The projects differ from the cycling towns and cities programme in that the CHIPPs are working solely through NHS initiatives such as the Healthy Communities Collaborative and Health Trainers.
