This section covers all aspects of monitoring related to cycling, including usage, route quality, safety, and progress towards targets. Monitoring can measure the effects of initiatives on levels of use, accidents, theft, and user satisfaction.

Monitoring Accidents at Advanced Stop Lines, Hull City Council (pdf)
Hull City Council was one of the first local authorities to implement Advanced Stop Lines as a matter of course, and this policy was strengthened by the results of monitoring accident reductions at the earlier sites at which they were introduced. The approach used may provide guidance for others wishing to monitor the outcomes of similar strategies.
