Summary
The Local Transport Act 2008 requires the Senior Traffic Commissioner to give guidance and directions as to the way in which the traffic commissioners will approach the exercise of their statutory functions. This consultation is taking place to allow the traffic commissioners support staff, stakeholders and the wider industry the opportunity to comment on the implementation of legislation and procedures that are proposed to be adopted by the traffic commissioners in relation to applications by goods vehicle operators leading up to and during the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2012.
