Keeping traffic moving: further consultation on street works

Summary: Consultation on Part 4 of the Traffic Management Act 2004. This is the third consultation on revision of regulations on Section 74 of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, it focuses on proposed charges for works in non traffic sensitive category 3 and 4, and a mitigated charging proposal. The consultation seeks to identify how many highway authorities currently operate a section 74 overrun charging regime, and how many will introduce one following introduction of the new Regulations.
