Equality Impact Assessments (EqIAs)
An equality impact assessment is an essential tool for promoting equality. Its purpose is to assess the impact of existing or proposed policies and activities and their effects on different groups of people.
Cross-Government consultation
On 14 May 2008 the Government published the Draft Legislative Programme for 2008-09. A public consultation on the programme concluded on 6 August 2008.
